The Phonak EON is a rechargeable receiver-in-canal hearing aid and the third generation of Phonak's Sphere technology, built around a dedicated AI chip that pulls speech out of background noise. It keeps the speech-in-noise performance of the earlier Sphere models in a body that is noticeably smaller and lighter. We fit the Phonak EON for patients who spend time in noisy rooms, outdoors, or on calls throughout the day.

Hearing Speech When the Room Is Loud

Restaurants, family gatherings, and meetings are where most people notice their hearing loss first, and they are the hardest settings for any hearing aid to manage. EON handles them with Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0, a separate AI system that identifies speech, lifts it out of the surrounding noise, and puts it back together so voices are easier to follow. Phonak measures up to 50% better speech understanding than advanced directional microphones deliver, along with up to 37% less listening effort, so conversation in a loud space takes less out of you. The technology now works across three of Phonak's performance levels rather than only the top two, which brings it within reach at more price points.

Clearer Sound, Handled Automatically

EON reads the room and adjusts on its own, so you are not reaching for your phone every time you move between settings.

  • AutoSense OS AI 8.0. The automatic system reacts faster and more intelligently as your surroundings change, holding clarity steady when you step from a quiet hallway into a crowded room.
  • APD 4.0. Phonak's updated fitting formula keeps the speech processing active in more situations than before, so it helps in places where earlier versions stayed idle.
  • WindBlock 2.0. Reduces wind turbulence at the microphones by up to 50 dB and keeps speech intact, with more than 90% of Phonak's test participants preferring it for natural sound.

Connection and Power for a Full Day

EON is built to stream, take calls, and last from morning to night without a midday charge.

  • Broad Bluetooth and hands-free calling. The Era chip connects to phones, computers, tablets, and televisions, and lets the hearing aids act as a headset for calls and video meetings.
  • Native Auracast and Roger. Tap into public audio broadcasts at airports, theaters, and places of worship, and pair with Phonak Roger microphones for difficult listening at a distance.
  • All-day rechargeable battery. Up to roughly 22 hours on a charge even with heavy streaming and noisy environments, a full recharge in about 2.5 hours, and an optional portable charger with its own battery for travel.

Is the Phonak EON Right for You?

EON is a good match for patients whose main struggle is speech in noise, who spend time outdoors where wind is a problem, or who stream calls and media for much of the day. It comes in a standard rechargeable RIC size with eight color choices, fits hearing losses from mild through profound, and pairs with a Phonak CROS transmitter for patients with little or no usable hearing in one ear.

EON focuses its strength on noisy and outdoor listening. If your listening is mostly quiet and one-on-one, a simpler device may serve you just as well for less, and we will tell you if that fits your situation.

Schedule a Consultation With Our Audiologist

If you want to know whether the Phonak EON suits your hearing and your routine, the first step is a comprehensive hearing evaluation. Our audiologist will review your results with you, ask where listening has been hardest, and explain which options make sense for your degree of hearing loss.
